Making Homes Happier was established in 2012 by Monique Bell. You may have known us as Claire’s Cleaning Services, we remain the same great team, but we have given ourselves a little refresh! We boast more than 30 cleaners and have over 150 regular clients in the Crosby & Waterloo areas of Liverpool.  

There are many reasons you could be struggling to manage the never-ending daily household chores; perhaps you’ve welcomed a new baby, are having visitors, have been in hospital, the list is endless, and so are the ways we can help. We don’t tie you into contracts; if you only need us temporarily, until you are less busy, that’s fine with us.

We offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly cleans; choose from a standard clean or a tailored clean to suit your needs.

our cleaners & work ethic

We use all of our own cleaning products and regularly replace cloths and sponges after use, to prevent the spread of bacteria in the home or workplace. We do not use bleach and try to avoid harsh chemicals, as we want to prevent any exposure to dangerous toxins that could harm if inhaled or damage surfaces. In household cleans we prefer to use the clients’ vacuum and mop to prevent the transportation of germs and allergens from one home to the next.

REGULAR DOMESTIC CLEANING

Life is hectic, and let’s face it, there are many enjoyable ways to fill our busy lives, but do any of us really want cleaning to be one of them? Let us take the pressure off; we offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly cleans, with a minimum booking of two hours. We work in a structured way to ensure each room in your home is cleaned to a very high standard. We suggest 2–2½ hours for a standard 2-3 bed house and 3-3½ hours for a standard 4 bed house. You can choose from a standard clean or a tailored clean to suit your needs.

We are completely flexible to your requirements; if you only need certain rooms cleaned, we can exclude some rooms or alternate between areas with each visit.  

Our standard, top-to-bottom clean, paid by the hour, minimum 2-hour slots: 

deep cleans

Do you need a complete home refresh or are you about to move house? 

Our deep cleans are the help you need; we ensure your home is professionally cleaned to meet your requirements and expectations. Deep cleaning services can include carpet and upholstery cleaning as well as tackling stubborn stains that regular cleaning may miss. We also offer deep cleaning services after home renovations and building works.

Communal cleaning services

If you live in a house of multiple occupancy or shared accommodation, we can take the stress out of your cleaning rota with our communal cleaning services. We offer regular cleaning services for landings and stairs within buildings with multiple flats, as well as cleaning communal areas such as kitchens and living rooms in shared houses. 

ONE-OFF CLEANS

A one-off clean can really give you and your home a boost. Let us help you freshen up your home with a one-off clean. It is the perfect gift for yourself or someone else (gift vouchers are available). You might be preparing your home for guests arriving or leaving, bringing home a new baby, or you need an extra pair of hands for cleaning; we can help ensure your home sparkles. One-off cleans can be regular standard, deep or tailored to your specific needs.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

If your business is based in the Crosby or Waterloo areas of Liverpool (including L21, L22, L23) and your business premises require regular cleaning, we can help! We have availability during evenings and weekends for office, shop, studio or café cleans, so the cleaning can take place at a time that won’t disrupt your business, customers or distract your staff while they try to work. The cost will vary based on the size and condition of the premises, as well as any required equipment.

ironing

Ironing is one of those chores that is great when it’s finished but can be time-consuming. Why not add ironing to the list of jobs we can take care of for you? Done in your home, this is charged at the same rate as your domestic cleaning. You can add or remove this service as needed, but it must be booked in advance.

oven cleaning

Who has time to clean their own oven? We know it’s one of those jobs, that can get on top of you. We can bring your oven back to looking its best. We remove the glass and shelves (where possible) and use a chemical solution to soak inside the oven and soak the glass and shelves in a separate bag. Add this oven cleaning service to your regular clean or book it as a one-off.

decluttering

We understand that sometimes life can be overwhelming, and things may get on top of you. We offer a no-judgment service when it comes to our decluttering service. There are many reasons you may need help, such as preparing to move house or after a bereavement. We offer our decluttering service on a room-by-room basis, we work with you to achieve the results you want.

shopping

Shopping is one of those tasks that we all take for granted, but sometimes life throws you a curveball, and you need a little extra help. We offer a personal shopping service, allowing you to discuss your shopping list with us, rather than relying on online shopping. You can specify where we shop for you, and we can collect your shopping on the way to a clean or as a separate service. Charged at our standard hourly rate, it can be an add-on or an individual service.

carpets & upholstery

Sometimes carpets need a refresh. But it can be time-consuming and let’s face it, a little inconvenient. We use professional carpet cleaning machines and can accommodate the cleaning of specific stains from spillages; our cleaners are trained to bring your carpets up to a great standard. We can clean rugs or even work on specific stains and spills. Carpet cleaning costs are usually estimated based on the size of the room.

Our dogs are an integral part of our family lives. Change to our routine is inevitable, our families grow, working patterns change, and sometimes we need a little extra help with our busy schedules. We offer a City & Guilds-qualified dog walking service. You can use this service for one-off walks as well as for regular daily or weekly walks; we will ensure your dog has a fun and well-cared-for experience. You can use this service without using any of our other services.
